Axis Foils PNG 1300 V2 is a revolutionary upgrade that retains the best qualities of its predecessor while pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in downwind foiling and light wind winging.

With its reduced surface area (1632 sq cm) compared to the original PNG 1300 (1712 sq cm), the v2 manages to maintain the same early lift potential thanks to its refined High Camber (high-lift) / Low-drag foil section. This innovative design delivers enhanced glide, better acceleration, lower drag, and a notably higher top-end speed, providing a smooth and stable ride for riders of all levels.

The reimagined PNG 1300v2 is now paired with the advanced Black fuselage series (we recommend the latest Black Advance+ range), elevating its performance. It offers vastly improved turning, a balanced lift distribution, and predictable pitch control, making it ideal for navigating between bumps and pumping. The foil’s exceptional stability is particularly advantageous for lighter winds or novice downwinders, providing a more agile, manoeuvrable experience than its predecessor.

Originally launched in 2020, the PNG 1300 was ahead of its time with a 1300mm wingspan and a high aspect ratio of 9.94. This groundbreaking foil became a favorite for beginners venturing into downwind foiling, thanks to its incredibly low stall speed and impressive ability to maintain speed in weak to moderate swell and wind conditions. Its intuitive pumping characteristics made it easy for riders to recover from mistakes and connect bumps, even without perfected technique.

The new PNG 1300v2 builds on this legacy by extending its glide range, making it possible to glide longer between pumps without losing speed or height. This makes it an excellent choice for dock starters at all skill levels who want more glide, less drag, and better overall control. It’s also an ideal foil for SUP/Prone surfing in smaller or lower-energy surf, where the lift created by the wing helps you get up on micro-waves with ease.
