Braw Skateboards surf skate shaped deck is a sled we know very well. It’s part of our quiver and when equipped with Waterborne surf adapters turns into a bona fide surf skate shredder.

Made from 7ply Canadian maple it’s tough as old boot sand feels great underfoot.
The Braw Skateboards surf skate is a ripper!
embodies all the same fundamental features as the Braw popsicle. Its template and super generous wheelbase creates a strong positive underfoot feel specifically for pools, bowls, and any large transitions.
The wheelbase is just right at 16.5″, meaning it can be used with standard trucks or surfskate trucks – such as the Waterborne surf and rail adpater. The extra width up front means speed generation, stability and carve factor are massively promoted. A big tail is perfect for when you need to transfer your weight back and slash grind the coping. It’s so dialled that you can even pop tricks when riding surfskate trucks!
It’s also great fun for curb sessions and nostalgic street skating. Basically, we love it! Our kids love it! And you will too…

Braw Skateboards
Braw skateboards is a homegrown UK brand by skaters for skaters. The Braw ethos is simple; quality materials, in a quality design, for everyday skateboarders. Our board designs offer something for seasoned skaters as well as beginners, of all ages and abilities. The mellow concave‘s, kicks, and generous wheelbases create a comfy feeling underfoot of all things skate and surf skate.
How did Braw Skateboards begin?
Braw skateboards started as a DIY handmade press skate brand. This press enabled customisation of concaves, kicks, templates and wheelbases. After selecting their favourite decks they found quality manufacturers who produced decks in these styles.
What do Braw Skateboards stand for?
Initially, Braw wanted to produce quality decks with certified sustainable timber, or alternate materials, to achieve better harmony with the environment and skateboarding. This is actually a really difficult task! Other types of wood don’t match Canadian maple’s performance, (most importantly the sugar maple variety). For modulus of elasticity, (resistance to non-permanent, or elastic, deformation), flex as far as Braw are concerned in skating, and sheer strength, (resistance to forces causing the material’s structure to slide against itself), deck snaps and fractures as far as we are concerned in skating.
Other woods can achieve one quality close to Canadian Maple performance but not both. News Braw did not want to hear in relation to their goal. Canadian Maple, in the skate industry, is not always certified, that doesn’t mean it has come from poor forestry practices, but it’s nice to know Braw are buying and riding what’s right!
