Tahe’s partnership with Zeeko Watersports is certainly a positive one. Nicolas Caillou from Zeeko (who ironically used to work for BIC) knows his onions when it comes to performance hydrofoiling equipment. The Amplifier, now renamed the Bullet, is a fast, responsive freerace windfoil weapon that will also suit those progressing from beginner foiler to intermediate. (We ourselves used the Amplifier extensively during the transition from newbie to advanced. It served us well, and will do you!).
The foil’s XLW G10 front wing is a high aspect affair that’s been designed with a rough lathed surface called the Anti-Ventilation Skin (AVS). Tiny ‘fences’ disrupt water flow across the foil wing’s surface and halt cavitation (over foil) when there’s too much lift. This works a treat yet doesn’t affect overall performance of the XLW wing.
The alloy mast and fuselage are bombproof and will certainly take a licking if you’re less than careful. Whilst perched on the is a new carbon stab wing that allows riders to alter the angle of attack by moving it forwards and back whilst on its bolt bed. If you want additional speed and increased lift you can now tune the Techno windfoil Zeeko Bullet. A deep Tuttle head allows the Bullet to be fitted to non-foil specific boards with the option of purchase a base plate to give more versatility in terms of windfoil board options.
Mast length: 90cm
Fuselage length: 910mm
Front XLW wing area: 850cm2
Tail wing area: 260cm2
If you’re looking to partner your Tahe Wind Foil 130L windfoil board or have an existing sled that requires an efficient foil then the Bullet could be just the ticket!
Check out the original Zeeko Amplifier foil (which is similar to the Tahe TEchno Wind Foil) being tested for Windsurfing UK Magazine below.
For 2021 Tahe will be pushing the Techno Wind Foil 130L, Techno Wind Foil and Techno Wind Foil sails (5.6m, 6.3m, 7.0m, 7.8m) as their youth One Design foiling set up. That said it’s still perfectly applicable for adults to use, as you can see from the accompanying product pics.
