For riders who haven’t yet dialed in their windsurfing or windfoiling skill Tahe’s Techno Wind Foil 160L is just the ticket to learn and progress. Bombproof ACE-TEC construction, a full EVA deck pad for comfort, the choice of attaching a centrally located, hull side fin to stop downwind/sideways drift (no tripping over daggerboard handles protruding through the deck), a reinforced foil ready box and an included windsurfing fin the Tahe Techno Wind Foil 160L is also pretty easy on the eyes with its bright blue and white livery.
The board’s 160L volume and 82cm width gives the Tahe Techno Wind Foil 160L great stability and therefore builds confidence, regardless of whether you’re an adult or youth sailor. Off the plane, and not in flight, it tracks well and glides great allowing those fundamental windsurfing skills to be nailed down. As a beginner windsurf board alone it’d be a good choice. Get a few runs under your belt and the 160L’s performance starts to unlock. It builds speed with light gusts and for grasping planing skills (harness and footstaps) you’d do a lot worse than develop these aboard the 160L. But don’t just stop here! If you’ve got this far then it’s no problem to attach a foil and begin your journey of flight in tandem with traditional windsurfing. There’s absolutely no reason why not. Once you can sail back on forth and are relatively confident at turning round then you can start foiling. You don’t need to be in the footstraps or harness and can unlock your adventure in the air right now!
